About The Artist

I love being back in the studio, pursuing my passion for Native Americans, Western art, horses, and wildlife. As a fine artist, I work primarily in acrylics, although I am versatile in many mediums. I paint what I love, and what I have been interested in since I was a child. I would describe my style as realism, with great expression, emotion and extreme detail. I paint with high contrast, bold color and painterly brush strokes that embolden the canvas.

BIOGRAPhY

I was born and raised in New Jersey. Even though I was brought up in a small New Jersey town, I have always been a lover of all art forms of the west. As a child, and the daughter of an artist, I could always be found creating art throughout my childhood. I felt destined to become an artist, and it has been my privilege to work in the arts during my lifetime.

I earned a full art scholarship from the Junior Women’s Club in Piscataway NJ and graduated in 1980. I continued my education at the Spectrum Institute for the advertising arts with a degree in illustration. My love of all art mediums continued and so did my education at the Finishing School of NY, Dundean Studio in New Jersey. I became certified in wood graining and marbling techniques through Mike Macneil in Canada.

I had the pleasure to work in numerous forms, and with many artists, over the years as illustrator, graphic and textile designer, muralist, decorative painter and freelance artists.

As digital media took over the art world, I felt I was ready to return to the studio where my true love of fine artistry blossomed.
